Pre-Budget Lobby

The STUC are organising a pre-budget lobby outside the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 8th December.

Local Government funding will be a central focus of the STUC’s pre-budget lobbying so it would be good to get as many council workers, with accompanying flags and placards, at the demonstration as possible.

The plan is to assemble at 11.30a.m with speeches kicking off around 12.15.  Further information will be circulated nearer the time.

The seventh edition of UNISON Scotland’s Care Futures

Care Futures no 7 is published here on the website. Focussing as it does on the results of the recent UNISON Scotland survey of care workers about the extent and impact of staff shortages, it makes for grim reading. As well as that it mentions the suggestions UNISON are making as short term measures to address the crisis.

LG Pay 2021

The UNISON new consultative ballot on the revised LG pay offer is now live and if you haven’t had your e-mail with the ballot link yet it should be hitting your mailbox shortly (the system sends them out in batches so they will not all arrive at the same time. We have attached an SLG Pay Ballot FAQ document regarding the offer for your immediate attention. We will send out further comms as we receive them.

The ballot will run until midday on the 29th of November and new members will need to join by 22nd November to be included in the ballot.
